The Art of Sustainability festival 2018- Palm Bay City Hall, Florida, USA
A team of six Fine Art Students from De Montfort University in the UK were invited to take part in 'The Art of Sustainability' 2018, a creative festival showcasing artists from the US working with reusable materials.
The team chose to design and construct an armadillo using tires of all shapes and sizes. The public sculpture was completed in six days, affectionately named Carmadillo, 2018. The sculpture will reside at the city hall of Palm Bay Florida for two months, and then will (hopefully) be re-homed in Brevard Zoo. Many thanks to Brevard Cultural Alliance for such a fantastic opportunity.
